Elite Netball Academy Ambassador named England Captain
Natalie Metcalf has been named England Roses captain for this summer’s Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
We’ve worked with Elite Netball Academy Ambassador Natalie Metcalf for a number of years and are so excited that she has been given this opportunity. “Growing up I always wanted to play for England and being asked to captain the team is more than I ever could have imagined,” comments Nat.

How our brand ambassadors are involved with Elite Netball Academy
Natalie frequently attends our High-Performance Centre classes and netball camps to pass on valuable insight to the players. With over 50 International caps, multiple superleague trophies and a spell Downunder with the NSW Swifts, it’s safe to say Natalie has some incredible advice for our athletes.
Natalie is one of the hardest-working athletes in our sport. Tactically aware with super quick hands and feet, Natalie is a top circle feeder too. In the 2022 Vitality Netball season Natalie was ranked fourth in the feeds list with 386 successful feeds into the circle. Not bad considering a few games were missed due to injury and some time was spent playing shooter herself!
We can’t wait to watch Natalie play internationallt this summer.
