Overview

Our High-Performance Centres are for young athletes who have the passion and drive to achieve their netball dreams. Elite Netball Academy coaches have a wealth of experience in improving netball skills and getting the best from players who want to take their netball to the next level. You will work with coaches and players at the highest level of the sport who have experience with the England Roses, Pathway programmes and Super League clubs. These classes are ideal for anyone aiming towards Super League selection and the England Netball Regional Pathway. Together we can help you go far.

When?

Players receive game-changing coaching in weekly 90-minute sessions with Head Coach Anna Carter and former superleague player and top quality, coach Alice Smith who has built up netball experience over the years as a player through pathway netball, England screening, playing at the highest domestic level with Leeds Athletic Netball club and more recently a training partner at Leeds Rhinos. Alice has put these learnings with some of the best coaches in the world into her coaching style and is delivering quality sessions that the players love under the guide of Anna Carter.

Who is this for?

Target Group: 11 – 17 years old, entry is achieved through a trial process.

With the culture instilled by Elite Netball Academy, players and coaches in our High-Performance Centres are given the freedom to work in an explorative environment where they can be challenged and comfortable in making errors in order to test their boundaries and be creative with the coaches. This environment actively encourages research-based learning to develop a well-rounded netball player aiming for future success.

Previous High-Performance Centre athletes who were developed and supported by this programme are now involved in pathways with Leeds Rhinos, Manchester Thunder and Loughborough Lightning.

The outcomes

Working hard to improve and develop an understanding of performance netball where players feel valued and supported to do well and move up to pathway netball.

“Elite netball has provided a different angle of coaching which was tailored specifically to Faye’s needs. It was great to see her confidence growing with each session and has enabled her to see the game from a different perspective.”
