Exciting Partnership Announced

We are excited to announce a partnership with Ribble Valley Netball Club (RVNC) to support their ambitions of becoming a Performance Netball Club. 

The partnership with Ribble Valley Netball Club, which is based in the North West, is one of significance for our founder Anna Carter.

“I started my club coaching journey at Ribble Valley Netball Club (RVNC) many years ago. They supported my initial development and continue to develop great foundations for coaches and players. The base developed by RVNC propelled my coaching career culminating in setting up Elite Netball Academy (ENA) in June 2020 to focus on driving standards in netball through high-quality coaching, camps and classes. Before setting up ENA I coached Superleague club Loughborough Lightning to the 2018 Grand Final, have been a pathway selector for England, as well as a technical support coach for the senior team and have spent time in Australasia learning from some of the best coaches in the sport.”

The aims of the Elite Netball Academy partnership with RVNC are to provide monthly coaching sessions, feedback, resource and growth plans in specific areas of high-performance netball and to create more opportunities for players and coaches to access performance netball and gain a deeper knowledge and understanding of the sport. We will also be on hand to mentor and support personal journeys within the sport for players and coaches.

Netball Coach Education

Through coach education sessions, we will improve understanding and assist in the delivery of high-performance netball. A huge focus will be on driving delivery content for the coaches while supporting their growth.

Ribble Valley coaches will be equipped with a playbook of centre pass attack, centre pass defence, sidelines, backlines and a host of common play scenarios. The aim is that developing coaches in this way will help coaches cover all aspects of netball including technical, tactical, physical and athlete well-being to create a high-performance environment where players can thrive.

Netball Player Development

The partnership with Ribble Valley Netball Club aims to improve the understanding, experience and definition of performance netball in Lancashire. This will be achieved through small group coaching focusing on shooting plans, positional play and netball-specific fitness plans to create players who are tactically and technically adept.
