What age did you start training with Elite?
I was 12
Why did you start training with Elite?
To better the basics so I could use my time in the club to further develop the skills through match play
What were your favourite sessions at Elite?
I especially enjoyed the play days when we got to play with people from other areas of Elite and having guest coaches in. I first met Nat Panagarry when she came in as a guest coach and I now coach with her through Elite.
Tell us about your netball now and how Elite helped you on this path:
I didn’t make the school netball squad in year 3 and was advised to join an outside club to develop my skills and become more competitive.
I joined Wakefield Phoenix for 2 years before moving to Leeds Athletic. Whilst at Leeds, Elite was set up and I attended weekly sessions to help me get the most out of my netball. At Elite I developed the tactical and physical side of my play which got me to where I am today.
As well as being in the Rhinos U19 NPL squad, I also help with minis coaching at Elite, helping the children learn the basics of the game in a fun environment and in the holidays, I support with the Elite residential camps
What would you say to anyone thinking about joining Elite?
It doesn’t matter what level you are. It is about improving your own game and becoming the best player you can be.Â
