The Netball World Cup brings together the world’s top teams, it is one of the biggest netball tournaments in the sport’s calendar. Taking place every four years, the tournament is set to take place again in 2023.

In 2019 New Zealand won the Netball World Cup in Liverpool, UK. They were crowned the winners after beating Australia by one goal in a tense final. England came away with the bronze medal, South Africa finished in fourth. Three of these teams remain in the top four in world rankings.

The 2023 Netball World Cup is taking place in Cape Town, South Africa. Matches will be played at the International Convention Center which is to the north of the city.

How many teams are in the 2023 Netball World Cup

16 teams will take part in the 2023 Netball World Cup. Teams were seeded based on their Netball World Ranking on 3rd November 2022.

The teams and pools for the 2023 Netball World Cup are:

England’s opening match at the tournament will be against Barbados. They will then go on to face Malawi before their final pool stage match again the Scottish Thistles.
