Where do you get your coaching inspiration from?

I believe you have to take inspiration from a variety of sources/people. Be open to new ideas and trying new approaches to drills, to continue to innovate and produce new ways of training and getting the best out of the athletes. This can be from the internet/social media, family, friends, fellow coaches and players.

Why do you love netball?

I really enjoyed being a part of a team sport and I still do. It encompasses so many skills that are valuable for netball and general life. I worked my way up through the West Yorkshire performance pathway and onto the county team. I wish there were camps and academies, like what we provide at ENA when I was a junior netballer.

How are you involved in netball outside of Elite Netball Academy?

During my time at university, I decided to apply for an advertised coaching role at a local netball club Birkenshaw Bells Netball Club (BBNC) luckily, I was successful, and I completed my Level 2 coaching course. Now I am the U12 and Seniors coach at BBNC. I also still play netball in the West Yorkshire League and with my sisters in a local league during the summer months.

What are your official coaching qualifications?

I hold a Level 2 Coaching Qualification and outside of netball, I achieved a degree in Sport and Exercise Science at Leeds Beckett University.
