Non-Member’s price, £30 per workshop

All at 7 pm via Zoom for 1 – 1.5 hrs. If you are unable to attend the session live, the recording link will be sent to you afterwards to rewatch at your leisure. Please purchase a place as normal, even if you cannot attend live.

Wednesday 11th February – Through Court Defence Principles with Anna Carter

Defending and creating pressure is the non-glamorous side of netball; however, it is the backbone of any team’s worth. Persistence, attitude, disciplined tenacity and unit work are the cornerstones of a great defensive team. In this workshop we go through the simple principles of defence, zone a 1v1 and how we build into partnership and unit connections in defence. Through practices to take away and observations to be able to support your team in applying pressure and winning more balls

Wednesday 11th March – Centre Pass Defence with Anna Carter

Having good structures and sound technique when defending a centre pass is a crucial part of every netball team’s defensive strategy. After all, your players will be setting up their centre pass defence after every second goal, so it pays to put some time and effort into ensuring your players know what they’re doing and are on the same page. With that in mind, we are going to go through a number of CPD setups and practices that build up to the structure you are hoping to achieve in the first and second phase centre pass defence

Wednesday 22nd April – Centre Pass Attack with Anna Carter

A centre pass in netball is a great opportunity for your team to take control of the play and gain an advantage over the opposition. A properly executed centre pass attack can provide quick passing and effective movement, which eliminates a lot of passing risks. It lets your players find space easily and leads to scoring goals quickly and effectively. In this workshop, we show practices that lead to setups that help support your players’ overall understanding of their role on CPA and the ‘what if’s”

Wednesday 20th May – Shooting Circle and attacking third principles with Anna Carter

Starting on the basics and building understanding of roles, we will cover shooting technique, holds, screens, sweeps, rotations and circle balance all of this will be supported with skills and drills for your players

About our coach education sessions:

Our education sessions are suitable for new and experienced netball coaches at all levels. Players will also benefit from attending these online sessions

Founded by former franchise coach Anna Carter, Elite Netball Academy recognises the need for coaches to access quality netball coaching advice to develop technical, tactical, physical and psychological competencies within the sport. These online coach education sessions will be hosted by former international and Superleague players as well as sports and fitness industry experts.

The sessions will take place on Zoom. There will be opportunities to ask questions throughout the sessions. A link will be sent to you ahead of the session via email. Even if you are unable to attend the session live, the recording link will be sent to you afterwards to rewatch at your leisure. Please purchase a place as normal even if you cannot attend live.
