Team ENA is best in class!

This September, we went back to class at multiple venues throughout Yorkshire and the north.

Our Juniors classes for players of all abilities aged 5 to 12 years are now running weekly at four venues: Gateways, Woodhouse Grove, The Hayfield and Fulneck Schools. Junior sessions run for an hour each week and provide all of the skills necessary in netball, helping beginners, intermediates or advanced players to understand, improve and enjoy the game. Many classes are already full – thanks in part to our successful summer camps having seen many juniors return to the game post lock-down. We now have just a few spaces remaining in our Woodhouse Grove classes (intermediate and advanced groups) and more again at The Hayfield and Fulneck. Drop us a line here to sign up your Junior player!

Our Development Centres, for u13 or u15 age groupings, have also seen strong uptake from players in senior schools keen to return to regular training this Autumn. More than a place to train, Development Centres – or, DCs – provide a forum for players to challenge themselves and their commitment to netball, led by an elite coaching team who ensures each 60 or 90-minute session is packed with intensity. DCs are currently running at Barnard Castle School, Fulneck, Gateways, The Grammar School at Leeds, The Hayfield School, and Wyke College. While spaces are limited, we have availability remaining at all venues and encourage anyone keen to train regularly with Yorkshire’s leading netball coaches to make contact here.

The most advanced of our sessions, the High-Performance Centres, offer something unique to the senior-school player working their way toward performance netball. Asides to a weekly 90-minute high-intensity technical session, players receive an hour’s conditioning to strengthen their body the correct way for netball, as well as support with nutrition, injury prevention and well-being. Designed for the more talented player with a ‘netball first’ attitude, HPCs are only accessed by a trial which occurs at the beginning of the academic year. Anyone wishing to join the programme throughout the season is advised to sign up for their nearest Development Centre and, on training in this forum regularly, may be given the opportunity to advance to an HPC where appropriate.
