Netball Coaching Conference – Saturday 7th September

Description

Fresh from our tour of Australia where we had masterclass sessions with SSN coaches and players, we’ll be showing you our favourite drills and practices.

The day will be led by Elite Netball Academy founder and former Superleague Head Coach Anna Carter. Anna will be joined by NSL assistant coach and national selector Maggie Birkinshaw, Superleague winner Nat Panagarry and Superleague Grand Finalist Paige Reed.

The event will be taking place at Huddersfield University, HD1 3DH on Saturday 7th September. Free parking is available on-site.

Attendees can purchase a single coach place or a club place (4 coaches).

Schedule:

9.30 to 10 am registration

Start 10 am:

Session 1 with Anna Carter – Practice share and ideas from Australia

10 am – 10.45 am

Session 2 with Nat Panagarry – Attacking connections and creating options

10.45 am – 12 pm

Lunch break:

12 – 12.30 pm – please bring your own lunch

Session 3 with Paige Reed – Coaching variations in the shooting circle – concepts and ideas

12.30 – 1.15 pm

Session 4 with Maggie Birkinshaw – Building a bank of defensive practices 

1.15 – 3 pm

Power Hour – the coaches will show their favourite practices, explaining what they use them for and why, plus how to progress the drills to add pressure. 

3 – 4 pm including the chance for Q and A

Additional information:

This event takes place in an indoor sports hall with seating and restroom facilities. Parking is available on-site. Throughout the day, the coaches will demonstrate their drills using a group of Elite Netball Academy athletes.

How much does it cost to attend the netball coaching conference?

Single Coach: £60 per person

Club Package: £180 (4 coaches)
