Where do you get your coaching inspiration from?
I get inspiration from my experience as a player, growing up I was lucky to have lots of varied opportunities with regards to netball, they taught me valuable skills for netball and life! It’s my dream to give the next generation the same opportunities and help them achieve their goals. My mum is hugely inspirational to me as she has dedicated her life to help develop athletes in sport and helped me to recognise that I want to do the exact same.
Why do you love netball?
Netball has allowed me to meet friends I will keep for life and I love that it’s a team sport, meaning we can build connections as well as friendships and bring the best out of each other. It keeps me fit and healthy and helps me to take my mind off other things going on in my life. And finally, I really love WINNING!
How are you involved in netball outside of Elite Netball Academy?
I currently play for Leeds Rhinos U21’s and have been part of the Yorkshire Netball pathway since I was 14 and have previously been in the England Academy at both U17’s and U19’s level. I also play for Leeds Athletic and Leeds Beckett University.
What are your official coaching qualifications?
Level 1 Coaching Qualification and outside of netball I study the Science of Sports Performance at Leeds Beckett University as well as doing a placement at Leeds Rhinos Netball doing Performance Analysis.
