During August, we held trials for our new High-Performance Centres that are due to commence in mid-September.

Our HPCs provide an intense 2.5hrs per week training programme combining highly technical skills and strengthening techniques, developing players for top-flight netball. Running for 39-weeks, the programme is designed to support athletes already playing regular club netball, helping them on their journey toward performance with training that complements their existing on court activity. Each centre is age-specific, with Elite Netball Academy offering u13, u15 and u17 age groupings for the 2020/21 season, all of which are accessed by trial.

Over one hundred athletes attended the trials, with the maximum fifteen now placed into each HPC ahead of the programme’s start-date. Athletes who were not successful this time have been offered a place at one of Elite Netball Academy’s Development Centres – DCs – also starting in September and offering technical training with elite-level coaches for 1.5hrs per week.
